Bruno Fernandes transfer interest grows as Manchester United rejects sale

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is the subject of intense transfer speculation following reports that he rejected a contract renewal offer from the club. The proposed extension reportedly included a modest increase of approximately €500,000 per year, which was deemed insufficient by the 31-year-old midfielder.

Galatasaray has emerged as a primary suitor, with the Turkish champions reportedly prepared to offer a package worth up to €50 million. This includes a potential four-year contract with a net salary of roughly €21 million per season, which would significantly exceed his current earnings at Old Trafford. Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek is said to be personally driving the pursuit.

Despite the interest from Galatasaray, as well as reported monitoring by Juventus and AC Milan, Manchester United has maintained a firm stance that Fernandes is not for sale at any price. The club is determined to retain their talisman, especially following his record-breaking Premier League season where he registered 21 assists. While Fernandes' current contract has one year remaining, United holds an option to extend it for an additional season, providing the club with significant leverage.
