Manchester United reportedly contacts Didier Deschamps

Manchester United has reportedly made contact with former France national team manager Didier Deschamps as a potential successor to Michael Carrick.

Carrick is facing significant scrutiny following a nine-game winless run in all competitions, despite a recent 3-2 victory against AS Roma. While reports suggest the club initially provided Carrick with a vote of confidence after assessing the dressing room environment, his future remains uncertain, particularly ahead of a match against Aston Villa.

Deschamps, who managed France for fourteen years, is reportedly hesitant about the move. Sources indicate concerns regarding internal club unrest and fan dissatisfaction with transfer policies. Other names being linked to the position include Unai Emery, Fabian Hurzeler, Antonio Conte, Eddie Howe, and Julian Nagelsmann.
