Manchester United scouting Club Brugge defender Joaquin Seys

Manchester United is reportedly intensifying its scouting of Club Brugge left-back Joaquin Seys. The English club has maintained interest in the 21-year-old Belgian international since last summer as they seek to bolster depth in the left-back position, particularly as an alternative to Luke Shaw.

United scouts were recently observed in Belgium during Club Brugge’s 3-0 victory over KRC Genk, where Seys was noted for his involvement in two goals and his defensive performance. Recruitment director Christopher Vivell is said to be a significant admirer of the player, who is valued for his versatility and ability to play on both flanks.

While interest remains high, a transfer during the upcoming winter window appears unlikely. Reports suggest that current activities are limited to intensive scouting rather than formal negotiations. Manchester United is reportedly weighing whether to pursue an experienced player or invest in a high-potential talent like Seys.
