Manchester United seeks recovery against Bournemouth

Manchester United aims to break a negative trend as they host Bournemouth at Old Trafford for an eighth-round Premier League fixture. Following a 4-1 defeat to Como in the Champions League, manager Michael Carrick emphasized the necessity of a strong response to regain the team's rhythm and form.

United faces significant squad challenges heading into the match, with Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo unavailable, Benjamin Sesko out, and Marcus Rashford's status uncertain. These absences may force tactical rotations, such as moving Tielemans into a more advanced role.

Bournemouth enters the match with momentum, having secured three consecutive victories across all competitions, including a 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Europa League and a 2-0 victory against Sunderland. The visitors are expected to utilize quick transitions to exploit spaces against a pressured home side.
