Manchester United seen as only club able to afford Vinicius Junior this summer

Real Madrid have told Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior that, with his contract running until June 2027, he must either renew or be sold this summer. Investigative journalist Romain Molina reports that the club wants to avoid losing him on a free transfer in 2027 and has set a price tag of around €140 million, plus a large salary package of roughly £31.9 million per year.

According to the report, Manchester United are the sole European club with the financial capacity to meet the transfer fee, sign‑on bonus, commissions and wage demands. Owner Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS-backed group is said to have the deep pockets needed, while other top clubs lack the resources to match the deal. The situation leaves Real Madrid with limited negotiating power and places the player’s future squarely in his hands.
