Manchester United Set to Overhaul Midfield with Multiple Summer Signings

Manchester United are planning a major midfield revamp ahead of the summer transfer window. The club have agreed a fee with Atalanta for Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson and are pursuing several midfield targets, including West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes, Serie A midfielder Sandro Tonali, and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson. Real Madrid’s interest in Tonali and high price demands are complicating the chase.

With Casemiro slated to move to Major League Soccer and Manuel Ugarte’s future uncertain, United are also looking to strengthen internally. Academy midfielder Jacob Devaney, who impressed on loan at St Mirren with a goal, an assist and helped avoid relegation, is being considered for the first‑team squad. Manager Michael Carrick may also promote other young prospects such as Tyler Fletcher and Hayden Hackney as part of the midfield rebuild.
