Manchester United signs Liverpool winger Isaac Konde

Manchester United has completed the signing of 16-year-old winger Isaac Konde from Liverpool. The deal includes a one-year scholarship followed by a five-year professional contract. The two clubs are currently negotiating a compensation package, which is expected to reach a seven-figure sum.

Konde, a versatile attacker capable of playing on the wing or in central midfield, previously featured for Liverpool’s Under-18 side. Coaches have described him as a “fast, direct and a very exciting prospect,” drawing comparisons to former players Nani and Wilfried Zaha. He is expected to join Darren Fletcher’s Under-18 squad once Premier League approval is secured.

This move is part of a broader recruitment strategy by Manchester United to strengthen its academy, following the recent signing of 17-year-old midfielder Karim Cassim from Manchester City. The club is also managing the potential departure of 15-year-old talent JJ Gabriel, who has expressed a desire to leave the academy.
