Manchester United signs midfielder David Eze from Manchester City

Manchester United has announced the signing of 16-year-old midfielder David Eze from Manchester City. Eze, a box-to-box midfielder known for his ball control and passing ability, has progressed through the Manchester City academy and has received 13 call-ups for England at the U13 and U14 levels. Despite his England youth caps, the Republic of Ireland-born player remains open to representing Ireland.

Eze has signed a pre-professional contract and is expected to join Darren Fletcher’s U18 side. This move follows the recent acquisition of another Manchester City youth player, Karim Cassim, as United continues to bolster its academy ranks. Eze will face competition for places in the U18 squad from players such as Jacey Carrick and Jay McEvoy.
