Manchester United signs Welsh goalkeeper Kit Margetson

Manchester United announced the signing of 19‑year‑old Welsh goalkeeper Kit Margetson from Swansea City on a free transfer, with a compensation fee for his development. Margetson, who previously played for Connah’s Quay Nomads and was Wales under‑21 first‑choice after a season with ten clean sheets, joins a reshaped United goalkeeping group that includes starter Senne Lammens, backup Karl Darlow and veteran contract extensions for Tom Heaton and Dermot Mee. A minor knee injury means he will miss his academy debut, which is expected to be delayed until September.

The club also confirmed the loan of Andre Onana to Trabzonspor and other goalkeeper movements as part of its summer overhaul.
