Manchester United talent Diego León faces potential January exit
Diego León, a young Paraguayan defender signed by Manchester United in the summer of 2025, may seek a move during the upcoming January transfer window. Despite high expectations, León has yet to make an official debut for the first team.
León's agent, Renato Bittar, stated in an interview with ABC Deportes that the player's future depends on his opportunities at Old Trafford. Bittar indicated that if a path to the first team is not clear by December or January, the club and player will look for a way forward, potentially through a loan deal. The goal of such a move would be to secure senior competitive experience before a possible return to Manchester United.
While León has performed well with the Under-21 squad, concerns have been raised regarding the club's integration of young talents under the Ineos ownership strategy. The agent noted that options for a loan could include the Championship or other European leagues.
