Manchester United targets Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong

Manchester United is reportedly exploring options to strengthen its central defense ahead of the transfer deadline. The club has expressed interest in Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong, a versatile 20-year-old defender capable of playing at center-back and right-back. However, Chelsea reportedly considers Acheampong ‘untouchable’ and is unlikely to sell him.

As an alternative, United has held internal discussions regarding Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who is also a target for Aston Villa and Benfica. Additionally, Manchester United has been offered the opportunity to sign Tosin Adarabioyo as a squad player, though reports suggest the club remains more focused on younger prospects like Acheampong.
