Liverpool intensifies summer hunt for winger Maghnes Akliouche amid PSG rivalry

Liverpool have made an initial enquiry to AS Monaco about the availability of 24‑year‑old French winger Maghnes Akliouche, who featured for France at the 2026 World Cup. The club’s new manager Andoni Iraola said a right‑winger is a priority after Mohamed Salah’s departure and a serious injury to Hugo Ekitike. Paris Saint‑Germain are also pursuing Akliouche and have submitted multiple bids, the latest reported at around €40 million, which Monaco have rejected as insufficient. Liverpool’s approach comes as the Premier League side also monitor other targets such as Bradley Barcola and Yan Diomande, but Akliouche is viewed as the most urgent option to restore width in the attack. Negotiations with Monaco are at an early stage, and the club will assess whether to present a formal offer in the coming weeks.
