Manchester United targets Santiago Beltran and eyes legal action over JJ Gabriel

Manchester United is reportedly monitoring River Plate goalkeeper Santiago Beltran as a potential transfer target. The 21-year-old Argentine, who has made 39 appearances for River Plate and earned a senior international cap, is valued at approximately 15 million euros. Beltran faces interest from several other clubs, including Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Atletico Madrid, the latter of whom views him as a potential successor to Jan Oblak.

Separately, Manchester United is considering legal action to prevent the departure of 15-year-old midfielder JJ Gabriel. Gabriel has requested to terminate his contract early due to limited opportunities for first-team progression. Because Gabriel holds an Irish passport, he could potentially join another European club after turning 16, which would leave Manchester United with only approximately 300,000 pounds in training compensation—a significant loss compared to his projected market value of over 100 million pounds.
