Manchester United targets Tyrick Mitchell amid contract talks
Manchester United is monitoring Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell as a potential target for squad upgrades. The 27-year-old left-back's contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and he has not yet reached an agreement on a new deal with Crystal Palace.
United's scouting department reportedly views Mitchell as a reliable option for the left-back position, noting his defensive stability and Premier League experience. Former chief scout Mick Brown has praised the player, stating he is “terrific defensively” and has improved his attacking game.
Crystal Palace is currently working to extend Mitchell's contract to avoid losing the academy graduate. While Liverpool has also been linked to the defender, Palace is attempting to settle terms to prevent rival interest from progressing.
