Manchester United targets Victor Osimhen as premier summer signing
Manchester United have identified Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, currently at Galatasaray, as their primary target for the upcoming summer transfer window. Club manager Michael Carrick sees the 54‑goal forward as a "dream target" to bolster the attack after United finished third in the Premier League.
United face several hurdles: Galatasaray’s high valuation and Osimhen’s wage demands, as well as the potential return of Marcus Rashford from loan and interest in other strikers such as Robert Lewandowski. The club is also weighing alternatives, including Crystal Palace’s Jean‑Philippe Mateta, Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic, Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi, and possibly Lewandowski if he moves to MLS.
The negotiations are expected to be complex, with the Turkish side reluctant to sell and United needing to balance budget constraints after recent departures.
