Manchester United to offload keeper Andre Onana after loan to Trabzonspor

Manchester United have informed goalkeeper Andre Onana that he is not in the club’s plans and will be sold this summer. The Cameroon international joined United from Inter Milan in 2023 for £47 million but struggled with performances, leading to a season‑long loan at Turkish side Trabzonspor.

At Trabzonspor Onana made 32 appearances, helped the team reach the Turkish Cup final and impressed the club’s hierarchy, which have expressed a desire to keep him beyond the current loan. United, however, aim to recoup part of their investment and consider a permanent transfer or another loan, while his high weekly salary of about £120,000 complicates negotiations.
