Manchester United to play closed-door friendly against Lausanne-Sport

Manchester United will play an unofficial friendly match behind closed doors against Swiss side Lausanne-Sport during the upcoming international break. The fixture is facilitated by the shared ownership of both clubs under INEOS.

The match aims to help players not involved in international duty maintain match fitness and rhythm. It may provide a crucial opportunity for defender Matthijs de Ligt to gain playing time as he nears a return from a long-term back injury.

Manchester United faces several squad availability issues due to injuries. Bruno Fernandes has been ruled out of Portugal's recent selection due to physical problems, while other players like Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo are also unavailable due to injury concerns.
