Manchester United to re‑sign Marcus Rashford as Barcelona drops purchase option

Barcelona has decided not to trigger the €30 million purchase option on forward Marcus Rashford, which expired on 15 June. The English striker, who spent the season on loan at the Catalan club, made 49 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists.

With the option unused, Rashford is set to return to Manchester United, where he remains under contract until 2028. United have begun planning for his reintegration into the first‑team squad for the upcoming season.
