Manchester United Women begin Spanish pre-season under Eva Olid

Manchester United Women have arrived in Spain for a pre-season training camp following a period of significant squad reconstruction. The team is entering a new era under head coach Eva Olid, who succeeds Marc Skinner.

The off-season has seen several senior departures, most notably the transfer of striker Melvine Malard to Chelsea. To bolster the roster, the club has recruited German goalkeeper Janina Leitzig and Spanish full-back Andrea Medina. The squad features a mix of experienced players, such as Dominique Janssen, Hinata Miyazawa, Jess Park, and Ella Toone, alongside academy prospects including Jessica Anderson, Simi Awujo, and Lucy Newell.

During the Spanish camp, the team is scheduled to play a fixture against Newcastle United as part of Olid’s tactical implementation and squad integration process.
