Mancomunidad de la Ribera to refund overcharged waste taxes
The Mancomunidad de la Ribera has announced it will refund amounts overcharged in waste tax receipts from the first half of 2026. These refunds are scheduled to take place during October and November.
The entity stated that all incorrect receipts will be administratively annulled before the end of 2026. The billing errors were attributed to the implementation of a new management program.
In response to the situation, the political group Contigo Tudela has announced plans to request an audit of the Mancomunidad's 2026 income from the Cámara de Comptos. The group is also seeking legal avenues to declare the 2026 waste tax procedure null and void and has called for a public assembly to demand explanations from Mancomunidad president Fernando Ferrer.
