Mandla Ncikazi returns to Golden Arrows as head coach

Mandla Ncikazi has returned to Golden Arrows as head coach following his departure from Orlando Pirates. The 57-year-old tactician, who joined the Soweto-based club in 2021, stated that he felt he had achieved everything possible during his tenure with the Buccaneers.

Ncikazi expressed a desire for a new professional challenge, specifically noting an interest in working with younger players and testing himself in a different environment. He highlighted his previous success at Golden Arrows, noting that the club achieved its highest positions and broke several records during his prior tenure.

Upon his return, Ncikazi acknowledged immediate tactical challenges due to a demanding fixture schedule, which leaves limited time for training and technical implementation between matches.
