Manfredonia activates operational center for patronal festival

In Manfredonia, Mayor Domenico La Marca has ordered the activation of the Municipal Operational Center (COC) and the municipal volunteer Civil Protection Group for the 190th patronal festival honoring Maria Santissima di Siponto and Saint Andrew the Apostle.

The operational center will begin functioning at 4:00 PM on August 28 and remain active until the conclusion of events, no later than 8:00 AM on September 2. The activation follows a request from the Patronal Festival Committee due to the high volume of scheduled religious celebrations, processions, concerts, and pyrotechnic displays.

The COC is tasked with coordinating volunteers and municipal services, facilitating information exchange between operational structures, and ensuring a timely response to any critical issues. The intervention plan covers nine areas, including planning, population assistance, traffic management, essential services, and health and social assistance.
