Manfredonia hosts Italian Youth Double Sailing Championships
The 2026 Italian Youth Double Sailing Championships are currently underway in Manfredonia. Organized by the Gargano Sailing Club on behalf of the Italian Sailing Federation, the event features 438 Under-19 athletes competing in 219 double-handed crews across four racing fields.
The competition includes six different classes: the 420, 29er, RS Feva, Dragoon, Hobie Cat 16, and Nacra 15. Following the second day of racing, which saw wind speeds between 10 and 15 knots, Nicolas Margaria and Edoardo Cavero of CV Vernazzolesi are leading the 420 class.
The championships are part of the PUGLIA 2026 – European Region of Sport program and are supported by the Municipality of Manfredonia and the Southern Adriatic Sea Port Authority. The event is scheduled to conclude on Thursday, the 10th, with a closing ceremony and awards presentation.
