Manga creator Sen to appear at Anime NYC 2026

Manga creator Sen will make her first American convention appearance at Anime NYC 2026. The artist and writer behind the fantasy adventure series ‘HORON OF THE CLOSED COUNTRY’ is scheduled to participate in several events hosted by publisher Manga Mavericks Books.

On August 21, Sen will join the Manga Mavericks Books Industry Panel to discuss her career, the development of her manga, and the process of bringing independent Japanese manga to English-speaking audiences. The panel will include a Q&A session and behind-the-scenes insights.

Additionally, Sen will hold autograph sessions at the Manga Mavericks / Independent Manga Alliance booth from August 20 through August 23. Attendees must provide proof of purchase of the English print edition of ‘HORON OF THE CLOSED COUNTRY’ Volume 1 to receive an autograph.
