Manga industry updates: New Kodansha launch and series conclusion

Mangaka Kotono Katō has launched a new manga titled ‘Set Match!’ on the digital platform Comic Days, published by Kodansha. The series debuted on August 7 with its first two chapters. The story follows Haruha, a high school student who joins a soft tennis club primarily due to an attraction to an upperclassman. The narrative focuses on the disciplined environment of the club, managed by a strict instructor who emphasizes punctuality and conduct.

Separately, the manga ‘Chōgen Market Heroes: Menko Reverser Kakeru’ has concluded its serialization in Coro Coro Comic. Written by Makoto Fukami with art by Shūsaku Namikawa, the series began on March 28. The manga was an adaptation of an original concept based on a board game developed by the company Creatures, translating interactive gameplay mechanics into a linear narrative format.
