Manhattan High volleyball sweeps Emporia and Hayden

Manhattan High School volleyball secured two victories at home during Centennial League matchups, sweeping both Emporia and Hayden. The wins bring the Indians' season record to 14-6 and their league record to 3-1.

The team defeated Emporia with set scores of 25-13 in both sets. In the subsequent match against Hayden, Manhattan won two closely contested sets, 28-26 and 28-26, after a previous loss to the Wildcats in August. Coach Nicole Jones attributed the success to improved ball control, defensive adjustments against slide plays, and maintaining emotional composure.
