The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force and Manhattan Shomrim Safety Patrol are investigating the stabbing of a 26-year-old Jewish man in Midtown Manhattan. The incident occurred on Wednesday around 5:45 p.m. near West 47th Street and Fifth Avenue in the Diamond District.

According to police sources and security footage, a woman began following the victim, who was wearing traditional Jewish attire, as he walked along the street. The victim reported feeling a sharp, needle-like prick in his lower right back and believed he was attacked with a syringe. He was treated by Hatzalah before being transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a white woman in her 30s, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing blue jeans and white sneakers with a dark sweater tied around her waist. Following the attack, she reportedly fled westbound toward Sixth Avenue. Authorities have not yet confirmed if the syringe contained any harmful substances. No arrests have been made, and investigators are seeking public assistance via the Manhattan Shomrim hotline.
