Manickam Tagore alleges BJP strategy to disrupt Tamil Nadu politics

Congress leader and TNCC president Manickam Tagore has alleged that the BJP and RSS are executing a multi-stage strategy, referred to as ‘Plan C’, to create political turmoil in Tamil Nadu. Tagore claims the objective is to capture the AIADMK’s vote bank by leveraging the state’s strong connection between cinema and politics.

According to Tagore, previous attempts included engaging AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami and AMMK leader TTV Dinakaran, as well as attempting to persuade actor Rajinikanth to enter politics. He further alleged that former BJP leader K Annamalai was being repositioned through an NGO-style movement. Tagore suggested that current moves may involve preparing another actor to launch a political party.

Tagore expressed confidence in the alliance between the Congress and the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by actor-turned-politician Vijay, asserting that their shared commitment to secularism and social justice makes the partnership strong.
