Manikato Stakes to be held at Caulfield

The 2026 Manikato Stakes, a $2 million Group 1 weight-for-age sprint, is scheduled to take place at Caulfield in Melbourne. Due to redevelopment at The Valley, the event has moved to the Caulfield track.

The race features a field of 13 runners. Chris Waller-trained Beiwacht is currently the betting favourite, seeking a third consecutive Group 1 victory following a dominant performance in the Memsie Stakes. Other notable contenders include Bivouac, Oliveanotherday, and Napoleonic.
