Manila 16-Year-Old Charged with Murder After Stabbing of 15-Year-Old

On July 14, 2026, police in Sampaloc, Manila responded to a stabbing incident on Blumentritt Road. A 16‑year‑old suspect, identified by the alias “JDP,” used a cutter to stab a 15‑year‑old boy in the neck. The victim was found unconscious near G. Tuazon Street and was declared dead on arrival at Ospital ng Sampaloc at 10:19 p.m.

Manila Police District (MPD) public information officer Lt. Col. Philipp Ines said the investigation linked the attack to a group of youths, including a child in conflict with the law, who had earlier confronted the victim’s companions. The suspect has been apprehended and will face murder charges. The case remains under investigation to identify any additional participants.
