Manipur releases final 2026 electoral rolls

Manipur has published its final electoral rolls for 2026 following a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. The final list includes 1,960,620 registered voters across 60 assembly constituencies.

According to Chief Electoral Officer Arun Kumar Sinha, women continue to outnumber men in the state's voter registry. The final count includes 1,006,962 female electors and 953,350 male electors, resulting in a gender ratio of 1,056, which is significantly higher than the national average. The rolls also include 308 third-gender electors.

The revision process involved significant changes to the voter list. While 56,871 new electors were added, approximately 189,000 voters were removed from previous records. Reasons for exclusion included deaths, shifts in residence, duplicate entries, and failure to submit enumeration forms.
