Manisa Academy Offers Free Coding, Robotics and 3D Printing Courses to Youth
The Manisa Metropolitan Municipality has launched Akademi Manisa, a free education centre for 10‑24‑year‑olds located in the city’s Culture Center. The programme provides both theoretical and hands‑on training in robotics coding, game development, artificial‑intelligence basics, 3D‑printer technology and smart‑manufacturing workshops.
The first courses focus on two‑dimensional game development using the C# language, while younger participants receive algorithm training through a Minecraft‑based curriculum. Software engineer Yunus Can Tarhan described the centre as “a new education hub for young people, offering everything from 3D‑printing to robotic coding, all free of charge.” Software engineer Ceylin Çaltepe added that teaching algorithms via Minecraft makes the concepts “more fun and understandable.”
Parents and students have expressed enthusiasm, noting the opportunity for children to spend their holidays engaged with technology and to develop skills for future professions.
