Manisa agricultural worker killed in tractor accident

A female agricultural worker, Feriden Balat, died following a tractor accident in a grape vineyard in the Gölmarmara district of Manisa. The incident occurred around 10:00 AM in the rural Tiyenli neighborhood during the grape harvest.

Balat was pinned under a tractor operated by a Syrian national. Emergency services provided initial medical assistance at the scene before transporting her to Akhisar Mustafa Kirazoğlu State Hospital. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries.

Local reports indicate that the deceased was the sister of Sami Karaoğlan, the President of the Akhisar Chamber of Commerce. Gendarmerie teams have detained the driver, and a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the accident has been launched.
