Manisa expands child care services through new housing protocol
A new cooperation protocol has been signed in Manisa to expand the capacity of local child homes. Led by Governor Vahdettin Özkan, the agreement involves the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) and MOSEDAŞ A.Ş., which will provide rental support for two additional residential properties in the city center.
The initiative aims to increase the number of children receiving services from 90 to 104. The program, managed by the Manisa Child Homes Coordination Center Directorate, focuses on providing a home-like environment within a neighborhood setting rather than collective living spaces. This model is designed to support the social, mental, and physical development of children by allowing them to experience community values, friendship, and neighborly relations in daily life.
Governor Özkan emphasized the importance of children growing up in safe, family-like environments and called for continued social solidarity to improve these services.
