Manisa hosts 'Most Beautiful Sarma' competition

As part of the Grape Harvest Festivals, the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality and Şehzadeler Municipality organized the ‘Most Beautiful Sarma Competition’ at the Gastronomy Bazaar in Ulupark. The event aimed to preserve and promote Manisa’s famous stuffed vine leaf culture.

Ten contestants competed in the event, which was judged by a panel of experts including Deputy Mayor Emre Halil Esenkaya, Associate Professor Turgay Bucak, and various culinary and food industry representatives. The jury evaluated the entries based on taste, presentation, and consistency.

Kadriye Korkmaz won first place, receiving a kitchen robot. Hatice Kaplan took second place with a three-piece pan set, while Fatma Kaya and Sudenaz Çınarlı shared third place, receiving Pirge knife sets.
