Manisa implements digital system to combat addiction

The Manisa Provincial Coordination Board for Combating Addiction met under the chairmanship of Governor Vahdettin Özkan to discuss the Manisa Governor's Office Addiction Prevention Action Plan and its digital infrastructure, the Social Risk Index (SORİ).

The SORİ system is designed as a technology-supported, holistic, and dynamic mechanism to identify risks early through data analysis rather than reacting after problems arise. The system evaluates indicators such as behavioral changes, academic performance, social environment, and counseling applications to determine risk levels.

The Action Plan aims to facilitate coordinated efforts between teachers, guidance services, families, family physicians, health services, social services, and security units. By integrating data from these various institutions, the system intends to provide timely preventive support, close monitoring, and appropriate referrals to the necessary institutions.
