Manisa Metropolitan Municipality begins 45km road renewal in Demirci

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality has launched a road maintenance and renewal project in the Demirci district. The initiative covers approximately 45 kilometers of routes connecting 13 rural neighborhoods that are distant from the city center.

Technical teams from the Department of Science Affairs are performing localized repairs on areas prone to erosion, potholes, and stones before applying surface coating to increase durability and driving comfort. The project aims to improve transportation standards and ensure safer travel, particularly during the winter months, for residents and agricultural activities.

Local neighborhood heads expressed gratitude for the transition from temporary patching to permanent asphalt paving, noting that previous repairs had not been long-lasting.
