Turkish municipalities launch various infrastructure and social projects
Municipalities across Turkey are implementing various infrastructure and social projects to improve local living standards. In Batman, BASKİ has completed a 900-meter drinking water line to support the Devlet Mahallesi Project, which aims to consolidate public institutions into a single 160-acre campus.
In Kahramanmaraş, the metropolitan municipality is investing 25 million TL to renovate the Cevher Dudayev and Köroğlu parks in Göksun, while also completing a 3-kilometer irrigation canal in Peynirdere to support 3,000 decares of farmland. Similarly, in Afşin, a 15 million TL investment has modernized 2 kilometers of road and pedestrian paths.
Other regional updates include road renovations in İncirliova, water infrastructure developments in Silifke, and flood prevention measures through stream cleaning in Manisa. In Kayseri, local leaders are focusing on consultation with neighborhood heads, while in Diyarbakır, officials are addressing the management and protection of the UNESCO-listed Diyarbakır Castle and Hevsel Gardens.
