Manisa Municipality Halts Illegal Septic Waste Dumping by Poultry Farm in Saruhanlı

During a routine patrol, the Manisa Climate Police discovered that septic waste had been discharged onto agricultural land in the Mütevelli neighbourhood of Saruhanlı district. An on‑site investigation linked the waste to a local poultry farm operating in the area.

The incident was reported to the gendarmerie and the provincial Directorate for Environment, City and Climate Change. Municipal crews dispatched a backhoe and a vacuum truck to the site, secured evidence and handed the documentation to the directorate for legal proceedings. The Manisa Metropolitan Municipality said it will continue coordinated inspections to protect natural resources and public health.
