Raisin producers in Manisa, Turkey, are calling for the immediate announcement of a new floor price for the 2026-2027 season. As the harvest begins, industry leaders and agricultural chamber presidents emphasize that the previous year's floor price of 120 lira must be updated to account for rising inflation and increased costs for fertilizer, fuel, pesticides, and labor.

Fatih Köse, General President of the Düşünce Rotası Association, has suggested that the floor price should not fall below 150 lira to ensure sustainable production and protect the livelihoods of thousands of farmers. Hüseyin Altındağ, President of the Şehzadeler Chamber of Agriculture, noted that while a decrease in natural disasters has led to an increased yield, producers require price certainty to plan their seasons.

In addition to price adjustments, producers are requesting that the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) increase its purchasing points and volumes. There are also calls for fairer expertise processes during product evaluation and increased state support for exporters to bolster the sector's contribution to national exports and employment.
