Driver Killed as Car Plunges into Stream in Kartepe, Turkey

A 52‑year‑old driver lost his life after his car left the road and fell into a water channel in the Derbent neighbourhood of Kartepe, Kocaeli Province. The vehicle, a 34 TF 5914‑plated automobile, overturned and ended up in the stream, prompting nearby residents to call emergency services. Police, fire and medical teams arrived, secured the area, extracted the car from the water and confirmed the driver, identified as Bahadır Derbent, had died at the scene.
