Manisa women receive certificates in industrial sourcing training
A 56‑hour sourcing (kaynakçılık) training program for women, organized by the Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the TOBB Manisa Women Entrepreneurs Board and the Elginkan Foundation, concluded with a certification ceremony in Manisa, Turkey. Participants received certificates recognizing their new technical skills and were also provided mentoring, personal development, financial literacy and occupational health and safety support.
Manisa Chamber deputy chair Sezen Şenay said, “Today we are not only introducing a new training program; we are also launching a new understanding that supports equal opportunity, skilled employment, and stronger female presence in industry.” TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Board deputy chair Fatma Aydoğdu highlighted the project as a model that could be replicated internationally, noting the United Nations’ interest. The initiative aims to boost women’s employment in high‑value manufacturing sectors and address the growing demand for qualified labor in Turkey’s leading production hub.
The ceremony also featured officials from the Manisa Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, the university dean, and other local stakeholders, underscoring the collaborative effort to promote sustainable economic development through gender‑inclusive industrial training.
