Manisa's early grape export begins, marking new season for Turkish vineyards

Manisa's grape growers launched the first shipment of the Superior Seedless early‑season table grape on 25 July, following a harvest date set for 24 July. The Manisa Vine Research Institute reported that no natural‑disaster losses occurred this year, allowing a higher yield expectation. Export plans project 93 000 tonnes of dried grapes to be shipped by April 2026, bringing an estimated $321 million in foreign‑exchange earnings.

In the central Anatolian region of Nevşehir, vineyards are entering the colour‑change stage as grapes mature. Harvest is expected to start in August, with peak yields in September. The fruit will be sold fresh and processed into traditional products such as pekmez, wine, and dried grapes, supporting local farmers and regional income.
