Turkey's regional agriculture offices conduct field outreach and safety training for farmers

In Kütahya's Aslanapa district, the local Agriculture and Forestry Directorate dispatched technical staff to villages to educate producers on the B‑Recipe system for pesticide use, aiming to reduce residue risks, protect the environment and improve crop yields. The programme is scheduled to continue throughout the district.

In Uşak, the provincial directorate led by Director Serkan Bilir visited large‑scale livestock farms and cultivated fields, providing information on disease‑free herds, bio‑security, and assessing crop development. Officials gathered farmer feedback and offered on‑site solutions.

Manisa’s Salihli district issued safety alerts for the 2026 harvest season, requiring a 10‑metre protective buffer between grain fields and forested areas and mandating that combine harvester operators carry water tanks and fire‑extinguishing kits to curb forest‑fire risk and limit grain loss to 2 %.

In Ordu, hazelnut growers began pre‑harvest orchard work, clearing weeds and cleaning gardens to boost tree health and future yields. Producer Ersin Başçınar expressed optimism about the upcoming season.

Collectively, these actions reflect Turkey’s coordinated effort across several provinces to improve agricultural practices, enhance safety, and support farmers ahead of the upcoming harvest cycle.
