Manish Paul’s rise from TV anchor to Bollywood actor

Manish Paul was born on 3 August 1981 in New Delhi. He began his career as a host for school and college cultural events before moving to Mumbai, where he landed his first television break hosting Sunday Tango on Star Plus in 2002. He later worked as a radio jockey on Radio City’s morning show and appeared in several TV serials.

Paul became widely known for his comic timing on reality‑show platforms, anchoring programmes such as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Dance India Dance Little Masters, Nach Baliye, Star Ya Rockstar and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. He also hosted National Geographic’s Science of Stupid. As an actor, he featured in films including Tis Mar Khan (2010), Mickey Virus (2013), Teere Bin Laden‑2, Jug Jug Jiyo (2022) and the web series Rafu Chakkar (2023). He married Sanjuta Paul in 2007 and has two children, a daughter (2011) and a son (2016). He received the Best Anchor award for Dance India Dance Little Masters in 2011.
