Manizales and Medellín advance urban and educational development policies

In Manizales, the municipal administration is entering the final phase of formulating a Public Policy for Educational Quality. This initiative aims to establish a medium- and long-term roadmap for the city's education system. The process is supported by technical assistance from Universidad EAFIT and utilizes cooperation resources from the Colombia Bilingüe Potencial en Educación program. Collaborative efforts involve various educational stakeholders to identify roles and strengthen systemic connections.

Meanwhile, Medellín is advancing its environmental infrastructure through the expansion of green corridors. Integrated into the Medellín Te Quiere 2024-2027 Development Plan, this strategy seeks to replace hard urban surfaces, such as road dividers, with vegetation including trees, shrubs, and palms. The goal of these corridors is to improve ecological connectivity, protect biodiversity, and mitigate rising urban temperatures by transforming paved areas into natural spaces.
