Manizales hosts Latin American women writers' summit

The VII Encuentro de Escritoras de Caldas is being held in Manizales, bringing together approximately 70 female authors from 12 Colombian municipalities and five Latin American countries. Organized by the Red de Escritoras de Caldas, the event concludes on October 17.

Under the theme ‘Escrituras para sostener lo colectivo y erradicar estereotipos en el territorio’, the program includes thematic tables, recitals, and collective readings. The gathering focuses on literary exchange, social reflection, and the role of literature in preserving community memory and challenging social prejudices.
