Manizales Public Library Network Expands Free Reading Services

The Secretariat of Culture and Civics in Manizales invites residents of all ages to use the city's public library network, which comprises 13 free-access sites: one central municipal library and twelve satellite branches spread across the city's communes. The facilities offer a range of services, including reading promotion activities, workshops, academic support, internet access, and cultural programming throughout the year. Operating hours are generally Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a midday break, while the main municipal library and some satellite locations have extended schedules.

These spaces are positioned as community hubs for learning, creativity, and citizen participation, aiming to strengthen access to knowledge, encourage reading habits, and provide constructive use of leisure time for the Manizales population.
