The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OS BiH) are conducting ‘Trenutni odgovor 26’, a major military exercise at the Manjača training ground from October 19 to 23. The operation involves over 1,200 participants, including 881 members of declared OS BiH units and 330 personnel from the OS BiH directorate and NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command Naples.

Directed by Brigadier General Jasmin Čajić, the exercise aims to evaluate and improve the operational capabilities, training, and equipment levels of declared units in accordance with NATO standards. The training follows computer-based simulations using the JCATS system and moves into a field training phase (FTX) involving simulated opposing forces (OPFOR).

Participants will utilize various military assets, including M113 A1 armored personnel carriers, modern medical vehicles, and helicopters from the Air Force and Air Defense Brigade. The evaluation process follows the NATO OCC E&F concept, covering seven key areas: preparation, planning, execution, sustainability, command and control, force protection, and information flow.
