Manjinder Singh Sirsa accuses Punjab government of running drug mafia

BJP leader and Delhi minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has leveled serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, claiming the administration is effectively running a drug mafia.

In a statement shared on social media, Sirsa alleged that individuals who speak out against drug trafficking in the state face either death or police torture. He cited two specific cases: the death of Gulzar Singh after he spoke against drugs, and the critical condition of Mohanjit Singh, who is reportedly fighting for his life in a hospital after allegedly being tortured in police custody in Sangrur, the home district of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Sirsa criticized Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, stating that despite their promises to make Punjab drug-free over the last four and a half years, narcotics have now reached households and schools across the state.
